Mesa, AZ

We arrived at the ValVistaVillage Wednesday afternoon and got settled into an older motorhome that someone rented to us for a week. When I say settled, in this instance that means we threw some of our stuff into it and made up the bed and then went off with Leonard & Ruth to Fountain Hills, AZ.  
I had the feeling that this place is very close to MonDak, the place where Mom & Dad Vos used to go when they went to AZ way back:) I Mentioned that to L&R and Ruth later asked a couple of ladies in their 90's that have been coming here for 20 - 30 years and Yes, this was actually MonDak in the past. The actual apartments that the folks stayed in have been torn down but this is the place. I met the ladies and they knew Mom & Dad just enough that they knew they had been in the apartments along Main St. That is so cool:) We were here at least once back then when we flew here to drive their car home to IA. Tom drove them down here once.
Leonard & Ruth have been showing us around and including us in some activities so we can get a taste of the place. We cooked them steaks last night at their place and then watched ISU win another BB game:) They are picking us up for church in the morning.
Monday we are meeting Wayne & Tena at Mel's place. Hope to spend Monday & Tuesday with family.
We are still planning to head out next Wednesday and hope to stop at Sedona to see some sights there.
