We have had 3 eye appointments for G'pa in Tucson so far and the next one isn't until March 10. The eye is looking better and the cataract surgery should be able to take place after we get back to IA.
G'pa worked in the garage here on the lathe the first week or so and then he has been working at the wood shop in Green Valley. Dan & Leah asked if he wanted to make a baby cradle for them and since he needed a project and we needed a baby gift, it sounded like a great idea! He is using oak wood for that.
I have been, hmm let's see, doing stuff:) I haven't got my needlework out yet, too busy. I keep up with the bookwork, doing the reading books thing, watching BB games, a little cooking & baking, walking, and a little bit of swimming. Most of the walks, we do together. I take the golf cart to Walgreen or the small shopping center with the Safeway and if I have to go farther I just trade for the van at the shop. It is a little trip over there but I have the time:) It is nice to go out anytime and not have to bundle up or scoop snow and watch out for ice. It is cool here too some of the time.
Friday I was checking out at the 99 cents store and a little old man (well, there are lots of old people here, but he really was old) came up behind me and laid his valentine card down. I tapped on the card and said, 'lucky girl' and he smiled and said, 'yep, it's for my wife. I am almost 97 and I'm still in love':) It was cute!
We have been going to an E Free church down here. The service that we like is at 11am. They have a choir and the pastor actually has at least a half hour sermon that really is a blessing. The time works good because we listen to our own church online at 8:30 and 5:30.
John & Alice started out from home this morning to come visit. They left in some nasty weather but were out of it and into the sunshine when we talked earlier.
Til later, love to all!
