Harvest is finished

Harvest went pretty well, had a major bearing go out of the combine the first of last week but someone came out to fix that. Not very often that G'pa has a mechanic come and fix something at our house but I'm glad that he did. It was a big job! The beans actually averaged 50 bu to the acre so that was lots better than we thought it would be with the drought. The corn varied a lot and I don't know yet what it averaged. Dan helped combine the last of it last night. Dan & Leah were out Thursday also. Leah came in the afternoon and we did some applesauce for them and Dan came after work to help G'pa.
We'll go see the Dr, if we can get in next week, and see about G'pa getting his pacemaker put in.
There are a lot of family birthdays the first part of October. I hope everyone had a happy one:)
Love to all!
