John came here with Daniel Sunday night to mechanic with G'pa this week. Wednesday afternoon, Dave & Julie came to Pella to join some of the Branderhorst family at Pizza Ranch. Some distant family members were here for Aunt Mildred's funeral on Monday so it was a good time to catch up on each other's lives!
On Thursday we joined Dave, Julie, & John (& also Leah who surprised Dan Wednesday afternoon) at Vermeer to visit Daniel for intern day there. We all had lunch there together with other interns and their parents. They gave 3 of the 41 interns a $1000 grant for college. Our Daniel was one of them:) They had to write up something for this, it wasn't a random choosing! Leah had to head home in the evening already.
Yesterday afternoon they all worked together to change tires around on two of three tractors. G'pa's project is to make two decent tractors out of three.
Today Dave is helping Dan work on his bed project and John & G'pa are working on a tractor.
After we eat again this evening, D,J, & J are heading back to NW IA. Dan is here for only one more week. He will have a week at home and then classes start.
